Lic. Marcos Carrasco, Attorney (Mexico City)
Marcos is a licensed Mexican Attorney and a graduate of the Universidad Panamericana, where he obtained his law degree in 2000.
He began his professional practice in March 1996 when he joined the firm Von Wobeser y Sierra, S.C., Mexican attorneys, where he practiced in the areas of tax litigation and intellectual property.
In 1999, he joined Chevez, Ruiz, Zamarripa y Cia. as an associate in the foreign trade department from January 2003 until October 2005.
Marcos is also founder partner of the firm CARRASCO MENCHACA Y ASOCIADOS, currently CARRASCO, GARCIA Y ASOCIADOS, Mexican attorneys, focusing in providing advisory and consulting services in international trade, including taxation on foreign trade, as well as in rendering services in intellectual property, tax and administrative litigation in Mexico.
He has participated in several courses and conferences on alternative resolution of disputes and has been a speaker on this subject on international forums, he has written articles in the areas of International trade and alternate dispute resolution.
Marcos is registered as an arbitrator of the Mexico City’s Chamber of Commerce (CANACO) (January 2002). He has been a law professor at the Universidad Panamericana (UP), Universidad Anáhuac del Sur, Universidad Iberoamericana (UIA), and Centro Universitario México Division of Higher Studies, where he has taught international trade law, international contracts and international commercial arbitration.
