BELOW A LIST OF SOME OF OUR CLIENTS AND THEIR TESTIMONIALS:

"If you are doing business in Mexico, especially real estate, you need a good Mexico Attorney. The law firm of Carlos Hernandez-Ojeda cannot be beat for knowledge of the Mexican real estate and judicial systems. Also Carlos is thorough and committed to treating clients fairly and providing them with the best legal advice. My experience in trying to buy property in Mexico has really taught me a valuable lesson. You alone cannot deal or navigate the complexities of the Mexican real estate or judicial systems. Believe me, don't do anything until you speak with Carlos. Many people like myself didn't do this; instead we steamed ahead thinking that we understood how to handle real estate whether it's Mexico or the U.S. This is a big mistake. You can trust Carlos and his associates to do what's best for you. And since Carlos operates from the U.S., it's much easier to work with him rather than an attorney in Mexico. At a time when you need the best legal advice dealing with real estate in Mexico, you will feel assured, knowing Carlos is working for you."

"As a small but growing company with interests on both sides of the border, we required a proactive, well connected, and competent Mexico attorney fluent with Mexico´s often complex legal system and business practices along with fully understanding the US perspective, framework and corporate requirements. Carlos filled this need with Kudos, working with him has been definitively an advantage so I can´t stop short recommending him and his international law firm."

“As a small web-based business owner, my petition for a Visa was trickier than your average corporate relocation. Carlos and Raul made it happen--and at a fair price.”

"Working with this firm, and Carlos Hernandez-Ojeda in particular, was exactly what we needed to navigate the world of Mexican real estate! He was always quickly and easily accessible – an uncommon feature of many attorneys! Carlos was able to explain things to us in a manner that we could understand and enabled us to make sound decisions. As a matter of fact, he probably saved us from making one of the biggest mistakes of our lives and saved our entire potential investment. We will definitely be using this firm for our future needs – we highly recommend them."

When you are on vacation and have an accident it really spoils your holiday. If it happens in Mexico, and you don't speak Spanish, you really have a problem. My wife broke her ankle which required immediate surgery (while in Mexico). Our main concern after that was to get back to Vancouver, Canada. The accident was the result of negligence of the resort that we stayed in. Lawyers at home informed us that trying to sue the resort from Canada was pretty well hopeless (because different laws apply in different countries). None were willing to take up our case, but fortunately one of them pointed us to the web site of the Austin, Texas based firm of Hernandez-Ojeda. I dealt first with a Mexico Attorney Carlos Hernandez-Ojeda in Austin and later with his business partner and brother Raul in Mexico. Both were very competent, professional, and pleasant. From the onset our goal was to get compensation for the costs of our vacation, the costs in Mexico that were not paid by our travel insurance, and the costs of recuperation here in Canada (physiotherapy, etc.). Within one month a settlement was reached beyond our expectations. From my experience, I can highly recommend this firm to anyone who has a need for a Mexico Attorney .

"February 24, 2010 Carlos and Raul, Thank you so much for all your help. I have been fighting with Pueblo Bonito for a refund on my entire deposit and have not been successful. The resort refused to return any phone calls or respond to any of my emails. I was very frustrated since my credit card company was not willing to help me with the dispute I filed as well. My credit card company said they could not honor the dispute because the contract stated I was not entitled to a refund of my deposit if I cancelled. I knew that in Mexico the law is if you cancel in 5 days (which I did) regardless of the contract you by law are entitled to a refund, but the resort ignored me and the law. I have been fighting this tiring battle for four months. I was getting calls from a debt collector. I was on line looking for some sort of information as to how to proceed when I saw your agency. It noted you help with timeshare fraud. I called and you responded quickly. You were honest and efficient. You got back to me the same day after forwarding my information. You promised to work with me and let me know exactly what you could help me with. Upon agreeing to work together your associate immediately contacted me and began tireless calls to the resort. Raul your associate updated me weekly, sometimes daily. Within one month, and I worked on this for four months, you were able to have my whole deposit credited to my card and the contract cancelled. I am thrilled and I thank you a thousand times for your prompt outstanding service.
Sincerely Lisa Welch"

"December 24, 2009 To Whom It May Concern: To be an American with a legal issue in Mexico is truly frightening. The laws are different and so are the processes. I was truly fortunate to find the law firm of Hernandez-Ojeda. Let me share three key attributes I experienced in dealing with them:
They are true professionals. Importantly, they are bi-lingual and accessible. Every time I called I spoke to a principle. Emails were promptly returned.
They are licensed throughout the country of Mexico and have tremendous expertise. They reviewed my case thoroughly before deciding to take it. They explained exactly how they would approach my case and executed accordingly. They gave me strength and peace of mind that comes from being involved with such a capable firm.
Their fees were fair and appropriate. They didn’t ask for money just to review the case. The arrangements made were extremely fair. Again, this gave me tremendous comfort and reflects on the stability and commitment of this firm.
In closing, I gladly recommend Hernandez-Ojeda. They resolved my case in short order and I could not be more relieved. They have my phone number and any prospective client is welcome to call me and discuss my experience with this firm. I simply cannot say enough and I feel a debt of gratitude to them.

"While traveling to Nuevo Vallarta, Mexico on vacation with my family in June 2009, my wife fell off in the lobby of an important resort where we were staying. As a result of the accident, my wife broke her wrist in two parts and a metal plaque had to be inserted in surgery.
After several months of visits to doctors and hospitals both in Mexico and the U.S., as well as of costly rehab therapies, a huge amount of money was spent in medical treatment. We needed the best Personal Injury Attorney in Mexico.
Luckily, we came across the Austin-Mexico based law firm of Hernandez-Ojeda, where we were briefed by Carlos Hernandez-Ojeda as to our rights of indemnification under Mexican personal Injury law terms.
After a few weeks of negotiation with the entities involved, Carlos’s partner Raul was able to recover for us an important amount of the money we had spent. I truly appreciate their diligent involvement and help in this legal matter, as otherwise the damage to our welfare derived from this unfortunate injury would have been much greater."

"We have been very pleased with the service we have received. From the very beginning the law firm has been extremely professional and prompt. Our expectations were exceeded in the timeliness of communication. All of our questions were answered no matter how basic they were in a clear and concise manner. The contract that we had with the law firm was very clear with no hidden fees. We were excited with our financial outcome that we would not have received without their legal expertise. If ever we needed legal assistance again with regards to Mexican law, we would not hesitate to use them again and highly recommend them to anyone else. We believe this team went the extra mile for us and would do the same for any of their clients.
Sincerely,
Lee and Cora Scruggs"
